Welcome Back!

Yesterday the government announced easing of the lock down restrictions and we here at the cottage breathed a huge sigh of relief. It has been tough for everyone but now as we move into the next phase of this strange year I've been thinking about how I'm going to run things over the coming months.

There is no certainty of what the future may bring so my ideas might need some fine tuning as the months progress. Ensuring the safety of our guests, ourselves and our community is paramount.

As of today any bookings made direct via the cottage website will no longer require a deposit but we will ask for full payment 7 days before arrival. This will hopefully account for any last minute government changes that may come our way, and ensure that when payment is made we are confidence your booking can take place. If booking is made via another site (airbnb, booking.com etc.) then you will have to abide by their booking terms and conditions.

Arrivals times and departures times will have to change slightly to account for the extra cleaning requirements that we now have put in place and are as follows:

Arrivals - 4pm onwards

Departures - 9.30 - 10am

For the time being unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate early arrivals or late departure as we need to ensure as much time as possible between guests.

Key collection will remain contact less.

The guest folder and leaflets will be removed from the cottage for the time being. All information will, however, be sent via email a week or so before arrival. Sadly toiletries will no longer be available at the cottage so please bring your own. Soap and hand sanitizer will be provided. A recommended cleaning schedule will be strictly followed and a checklist will be left for each new arrival to provide reassurance as to what has been cleaned. Extra cleaning products will also be left for guests. There will be a new recycling and bin space which will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised at the end of each visit. All linen has always been washed at high temperatures and this will continue.

We want you to have an amazing stay and will do our utmost to make sure that happens. When out and about please respect the latest guidance about social distancing to help keep you and our community safe.

If you suspect you are developing Covid 19 either during or shortly after your stay please follow latest government guidance and stay at home (or return home) and self isolate. Please also let us know immediately.

I hope you've found this update useful and as and when things change I shall update things. I'm off to do a bit more cleaning & make a few more masks, so until next time stay safe and stay well, and I hope to see you very soon.

Nicole x
